Trip to Sabah Day 2

"our 2nd day trip was quite short.

flight was at 1115am, and we landed at Kota Kinabalu Sabah at 11.50am."
31st May, Monday. Second day of Kaamatan Festival in Sabah.

that was all i wrote on June 3rd. Hahaha! I didnt manage to finish it up. It's been a week since my vacation with hubby and now home @ Mukah, I have piles of work waiting..

So here goes some outlines of our 2nd day trip.

our flight from miri was 1115am, flying AirAsia.. the 'now everyone can fly' plane.. a 'kutu' (substitute to taxi.. hehe) sent us to airport from the center of Miri city for RM15. If you go get licensed taxi the price is almost the same.

arriving at Kota Kinabalu International Airport 45minutes later, my ex-students, Naziah Masigar (sorry if im wrong..) waited for me with her hubby. From there we went to eat at Center Point Shopping Complex, only 15minutes from the airport and get to catch some Kaamatan Festival Show.

i didnt expect to see many people watching the show..

Then, continuing our journey to Kota Belud. 1 hour drive from Kota Kinabalu. Arriving in Kota Belud, we went to G-Mart first to buy some food. I am not well-mannered enough to know what to buy for the family. Im totally blur.. Guess thats what growing in a city makes u.. Then go enjoy some drinks, then go home around 6pm. Its getting dark but I can see paddy field everywhere. Tonight, we are going to stay here at my student's parents home. Thanks to the family.  They're very kind, and friendly.. Felt like home. Get to have a good chat with makcik (Naziah's mom) earlier and I get some good pregnancy advices and parenting tips too.. Terima kasih makcik! Hubby is good at chit-chatting and sipping coffee all night, he had a good conversations with Naziah's hubby and future brother in law. I was already drowsy at 11pm., and totally knocked off 10 minutes later..

Tips: I dont get sleepy easily if I have my internet in front of me..

Pic blogging?

Dah lama la sangat tak post apa2. Bersawang dah blog. Tu yg blog pun mcm rumah puaka tak de penghuni.. masuk keluar masuk keluar tak update apa2 pun... Jadi aku buat keputusan nak buat mcm micro-blogging.. tapi pakai gambar dan sedikit caption.. Ini dia gambar pertama. .............. Terkejut tadi tengok apa benda yg melekat kat cermin penumpang belah belakang kereta. Bila tgk dalam, rupanya anak aku punya kerja. Semalam dpt sticker, dia bantai lekat kat dlm kereta.. tergelak sorang bila teringat. Anak aku yg sorang je tu dah 4thn umurnya. Dah dihantar ke sekolah supaya dia ada kawan bermain.. maklumlah.. anak sorang.. belum ada rezeki anak lagi satu...

June 2008: Tanjong Balau Beach, Desaru, Kota Tinggi, Johor Bahru.

During my stay at JB, I managed to go to Tg Balau Beach, Desaru. From Drop Box If youre driving, than it's cheaper compared to renting a car or something. Its more expensive by taxi. I think it took 2 hours drive, plus LOST since I couldnt remember the road.. dont blame it on me?! the road look different from last time, 2005. From JB to Kota Tinggi takes 1 n 1/2 hours considering all the traffic jam on the way out of the city. Then from Kota Tinggi to Desaru approx. 40 minutes. The road might be tricky, so watch for the word Desaru, then Tg Balau on the signboard coz they will definitely help you. Not much to look at during the drive.. expect for hugeeee palm plantations.. Tg Balau is a masterpiece. Facing the South China Sea, clear water, blue sea, and not too many people like in Desaru beach. The one that im showing you in the pic is on the other side of the beach, you can ask for direction to go to the 'jetty' they call it. Or if they dont understand just tell them '...
