Trip to Sabah Day 7

Last day, not much to be written... Our flight was around 9 in the morning.. KK to Miri. Then Miri to Sibu around 12 in the afternoon. by bus.. hehehe The next day, my dear husband continued his journey to Kuching while me to Mukah. Parted again....

Trip to Sabah Day 6

Day 6: 4/6/2010 This entry is written Dec5,2010. Ive totally forgotten to complete this Sabah Holiday entries.. So here goes. Our 6th day of holiday, I planned to spend the whole day in Kota Kinabalu City ONLY. After breakfast, we went for window shopping. I noticed this poor person is sitting on a building looking beyond the South China Sea.. poor thing..  zoomed out.. 1st destination is: Plaza Warisan @ Warisan Square Right outside the building is Starbucks.  This is the first time my husband and me hang out at Starbucks. Not the first time for me though, living in Kuala Lumpur & Selangor for over 7 years its impossible not try out this kind of outlet.. Trip to Sabah Day 5

03062010 Destination: Manukan Island, 1Borneo Shopping Complex, Karambunai Beach, and Sepanggar Bay. Manukan Island Parked our car behind a shop lot then we walk to Jesselton Point. The jetty that connects KK with west coast islands including Labuan FT.  Some prep to make:  buy some food. bring along swimming suit (in my case? short pant & t-shirt) bring a mat or more (depends on what u plan to do..) if u have ur own set of snorkeling things/life jacket, bring it along. or just rent it here, its quite cheap. women, bring your sunscreen lotion! i get really bad sun burn for not wearing any. or just come early in the morning so that you dont have to worry about it. Mr Husband really loves historical pictures, so he captured these.. Old Jesselton Wharf, now known as Jesselton Point/ Jesselton Jetty. My officemate and family was there too.. Trip to Sabah Day 4

2nd June, Gawai Festival Day 2 in Sarawak. TAMPARULI  Our plan today is to get our rented car and drive to Ranau , and do several stops at any interesting places. Around 9am, our car arrived. small one. cost: RM90/day. car info: Perodua Kelisa Automatic. 1000CC. Fuel Saving engine! yea, pm me to get the phone number. Fill your fuel FULL! its just RM60 or so.. Our first stop, Tamparuli. From Kota Kinabalu, follow Tuaran signboard then find Tamparuli signboard. No need for map, its quite straight forward. Its easy to learn the roads here. 9.30am FOLK SONG Lagu Rakyat Sabah: Jambatan Tamparuli Translation? in Bahasa Malaysia: Terjemahan Lagu  We were just lucky to get the chance to visit Pasar Tamu Tamparuli (Tamparuli Flea Market).  Tamu viewed from the Tamparuli Suspension Bridge. Trip to Sabah Day 3

** check August Entry for Trip Day 4  moved the date oledi! 1st June, Gawai Festival in Sarawak. Woke up at 4.30am , I was surprised to see there's just me and makcik awake..   Makcik cooked our food, i thought Naziah was doing all the 'Clung Clang' sound.. What do you expect? She's just 22 years old.. :) I can relate to her! Me and hubby take the chance to snap a few more pictures of the surrounding area. This one here is right outside the kitchen window...   Had some breakfast... 3 dara pingitan.. dalsey, ujie & lisa..  my ex-students.. :-) A little past 6 am, we're off to Kudat to see Tanjong Simpang Mengayau. One 'Saga', and what was the other car I was in? Err... Its a taxi. He agreed to be paid RM150 for a back and forth trip (Kota Belud -Kudat -Kota Belud). A two hour ride from Kota Belud town, i can see more n more paddy fields.. I didnt know that Sabah have a vast paddy field.. It reminds me of Kedah. Only its much smaller here in Kota
