Trip to Sabah Day 3

** check August Entry for Trip Day 4  moved the date oledi!

1st June, Gawai Festival in Sarawak.

Woke up at 4.30am, I was surprised to see there's just me and makcik awake..

Makcik cooked our food, i thought Naziah was doing all the 'Clung Clang' sound.. What do you expect? She's just 22 years old.. :) I can relate to her!

Me and hubby take the chance to snap a few more pictures of the surrounding area. This one here is right outside the kitchen window...

 Had some breakfast...

3 dara pingitan.. dalsey, ujie & lisa..  my ex-students.. :-)

A little past 6 am, we're off to Kudat to see Tanjong Simpang Mengayau. One 'Saga', and what was the other car I was in? Err... Its a taxi. He agreed to be paid RM150 for a back and forth trip (Kota Belud -Kudat -Kota Belud).

A two hour ride from Kota Belud town, i can see more n more paddy fields.. I didnt know that Sabah have a vast paddy field.. It reminds me of Kedah. Only its much smaller here in Kota Belud. Farther north west to Kudat, I saw less paddy field but more hills, forests, coconut trees and palm trees.

Hehehe... pose! right before departing..

On the way to Kudat,  Hubby got this..

The mighty Kinabalu Mt. they called it. On clear day like this, you can see the peak from anywhere in Sabah. I loved the view most from Politeknik Kota Kinabalu, Menggatal. The best hour is around 6- 7am. But this shot made me fall in love again n again. Im a nature lover as u can see now.. hehe

There's a lot to see on the way to Kudat. If you have more time to spend, stop by at the stalls on the road shoulder. On our way back, we get to buy roasted sweet corn. The corn were so sweet! They didn't add anything to it while roasting!

Only around 30minutes ahead, we have a rest right in front of Stesen Perhutanan (Forestry Station).  Get to take some group pictures too! haha

There's a junction to the left to Tg Simpang Mengayau, and you can see more coconut trees around. Ive been searching for more information about the road to this place on the net for months before I came here and resulted only one blog update. The blogger said the road could give you back pain or something. But during my visit, there's only 5 minutes gravelled road. The rest, they're okay. (Since we have 'way much better' road in Mukah..)

Its not too bad, isn't it? Im okay with this road. It doesnt give me any pain..

We saw beach first. Then a little more drive, voila! we're here!!! Its around 11am.

More n more scenery.. Look at the blue water.. and the white beach.. wow..

Yess! Correct! You have to walk that far to get to see the real thing. Hahaha! Just stroll along. I wont be tiring. The view will make you breathless. Worth a walk!

This is the Tip of Borneo. On the Borneo map, the 'horn' is here. It's actually rocks. Big rocks.

Strike a pose! Before we get tired later on.. Hehe

The Ribena Kids.. hihi

Hehe.. the always lovey-dovey ones..

Yea, the background is the tip as seen on the map.. haha

Pass this, than you can play on the rock.. huhu

"Rehat dulu.. Tgk tu, kakak dan adik.  Punyalah ganas si adik.."

Have a rest.. n eat..

There's a canteen not far from here, but its quite costly.. So, better bring your own food.

Few hours later, we went to our next stop. Mandi laut! Half way the skies seems dark, so they decided to go to this place. They call it Empangan. somewhere in between Kota Belud and Ranau. but when we get there, it starts to rain n there are a loooott of people.. hmm.. funny thing is.. siap bawak baju! bukak laundry! tu gambar kat bawah tu..

Cancel the plan, decided to go to beach again. Hoping it wont rain. But when we reach the beach, nobody wants to plunge into the water. I wonder why.. Sulking perhaps? Or upset?

Is this some kind of fishing competition? Everyone's fishing for fish. But I dont see any big fishes. Only small ones.

Around 5pm, we decided to go back to Kota Belud and go to Kota Kinabalu by bus. But Naziah's hubby was offering to take us there.

So me and hubby arrived in KK around 7pm that day.. Took him to Pasar Malam Sinsuran (Sinsuran Night Market) then back to hotel..

What a looooonngg day n loooooong entry.. I cant seem to use my Picasa on this Ubuntu yet.. that's y..

Still in my tummy but he started talking about playing soccer with my boy! (that explains why he loved kicking my ribs so much these days..) baby's dad was here last weekend but went back to kuching again yesterday. but no worries, my granny will be around in a week and so will daddy. i cant give u my words, but i will try to update my blogs (read suepreggy.blogspot ) and fb status as soon as the baby i...

holiday nov2011 01

We had an 'explorace' holiday last November 2011. Our flight to Kuala Terengganu (KL transit) was on 25 Nov. Arrived at night, an we went straight to YT Midtown Hotel. A strategically located hotel and I consider it as budget hotel. Paying RM120 for a RM150 sized room! Its definitely not a boutique hotel or spa resort. But cozy enough to rest and sleep. No weird smell or sound. The small pic of my son was on the plane. The Floating Mosque (i think its called Masjid Tunku Zaharah or something like that..), located at Tanjung Ibai. Its rainy day so we decided to just sightseeing from the car (rented car with very good deal!) Then we went to see Masjid Putih, as the local called it. Passing by the White Mosque (Masjid Putih), the driver took us to the Fishery Department Port. A visit only a few lucky people like us could get! The driver is like the president of fishermen's union or something.. So we get to see the real boat and ships used to fish! Its not like we never...
