Trip to Sabah Day 5

03062010
Destination: Manukan Island, 1Borneo Shopping Complex, Karambunai Beach, and Sepanggar Bay.

Manukan Island
Parked our car behind a shop lot then we walk to Jesselton Point. The jetty that connects KK with west coast islands including Labuan FT.
Some prep to make:
  • buy some food.
  • bring along swimming suit (in my case? short pant & t-shirt)
  • bring a mat or more (depends on what u plan to do..)
  • if u have ur own set of snorkeling things/life jacket, bring it along. or just rent it here, its quite cheap.
  • women, bring your sunscreen lotion! i get really bad sun burn for not wearing any. or just come early in the morning so that you dont have to worry about it.

Mr Husband really loves historical pictures, so he captured these.. Old Jesselton Wharf, now known as Jesselton Point/ Jesselton Jetty.

My officemate and family was there too.. We went in the same boat. Hehe. And their boy (Darwisy) sit in between me and husband. So cute!

Darwisy keeps on saying 'boat mama! boat!' right when he saw a boat and even when we were inside one. hehehe.. cute little boy!

the water, emerald green. its 10am so you cant see the top of Kinabalu anymore.. arriving 1030am. feeling as though im in a huge aquarium looking at those fishes below my feet. i cannot imagine what Sipadan look like, because this island is just heaven as it looks.

We went to the best spot, of course hubby hate crowded place. So our 'station' is in front of chalets. busy swimming and snorkeling (me? no. cant swim. i just grasping for more air, while trying to overcome my trauma (drown when i was 9) and holding onto his shoulder while he took me below the jetty to play with fish.- coz there's pillars everywhere that i can hold onto here, not bcoz of the fish. huhu).

Its 1.30pm, we almost missed our 2pm boat. hehe.. go clean ourselves and change.
1/2 hour later, we're back at Jesselton Point again. Had some ice cream, then to our next destination.

1Borneo Shopping Complex
Last time I was in KK, this shopping complex had its official grand opening. And me n friends get ourselves busy (in and out the main door just to get a few set of the doorgift. Hehe..

It was Kaamatan Week so there's still festive mood around. Of course, sales everywhere.
That notice attracts me. It's actually for shoes made of pig skin. Im puzzled when i read the notice said "Non-Halal, please do not touch!. There's misunderstanding of 'halal' concept there..Halal is for food status. Are the animals slaughtered according to Muslim rules? Does it contain any not allowed animals (include pig, any carnivores, poisonous animals and more). Pig of course not halal IF you eat it. But, WEARING it:: is HARAM! not non-halal... huhuhu.. Living in 1Malaysia but not sensitive to the Official Religion of the country huh..

Karambunai

After lunch at Chicken Rice Shop, we went straight to Karambunai. Around 5pm. To watch sunset. Arriving at Nexus Karambunai Resort. 5 star hotel maybe. not sure. But sure is beautiful place!

Sepanggar Bay
Last place to go, is Sepanggar Bay. Not far away.

I actually captured a pictures of navy base but got caught and ended up had to delete them.. huhu.. i didnt know we're not allowed to take pictures.. besides i dont see any 'no camera' sign..

around 8pm, we went back to KK again n go see Sinsuran night market (again)..

PNB Darby Park at the heart of Kuala Lumpur

As prestigous as it sounds, this is an absolute exclusive place for executives. I was honored for the chance given by my G-boss to have a 5 day stay, dont even have to pay a single cent for anything. From Drop Box Situated 10 minutes walking distance from the well known twin tower KLCC, 2 minutes away from the Putra Station & from Nikko Hotel, and 5 minutes walk to Masjid as-Syakirin KLCC. a suite cost RM1300++ per night. with 3 bedrooms, 2 balcony, living room, 3 toilets, kitchen (wet & dry), tv in all rooms, and tv set + videoplayer (maybe cd + karaoke enabled). as for food, sarapan pagi + makan malam di ground floor's restaurant, The PNB Darby Cafe. In its website it says : "myriad of local and international menu" is very true. Its a small cafe but yet offers so many types of food and drinks. The city view from here, not so lovely. Well, busy road with cars .. what do u expect? but for lunch, u have to follow the dress code. means.. no jeans.. no t-shirt.. and

Not the first time for me though, living in Kuala Lumpur & Selangor for over 7 years its impossible not try out this kind of outlet..
