holiday nov2011 01

We had an 'explorace' holiday last November 2011. Our flight to Kuala Terengganu (KL transit) was on 25 Nov. Arrived at night, an we went straight to YT Midtown Hotel. A strategically located hotel and I consider it as budget hotel. Paying RM120 for a RM150 sized room! Its definitely not a boutique hotel or spa resort. But cozy enough to rest and sleep. No weird smell or sound.

The small pic of my son was on the plane. The Floating Mosque (i think its called Masjid Tunku Zaharah or something like that..), located at Tanjung Ibai. Its rainy day so we decided to just sightseeing from the car (rented car with very good deal!)

Then we went to see Masjid Putih, as the local called it. Passing by the White Mosque (Masjid Putih), the driver took us to the Fishery Department Port. A visit only a few lucky people like us could get! The driver is like the president of fishermen's union or something.. So we get to see the real boat and ships used to fish! Its not like we never saw any, its just that the feel is totally different watching them docking at the port.. (Sentimental huh.. ) The background picture below is the White Mosque.

Doing some songket & kain pelikat shopping on the way to Noor Arfa Batik.

Here's Noor Arfa Batik. My 1st time here, but 2nd for my parents.
Rumours said batik cloth here are pricey, expensive. Now that Im here, seeing with my own eyes.. I can understand the reason. A 4 meter batik cloth cost around RM250 to RM350 (some may exceed this price), because there's only ONE design like that. Meaning? EXCLUSIVELY MADE!  you buy it, then its exclusively made for you! I ended up spending handsome money too, but luckily its Year End Sale (Y.E.S) season!

Then off to Crystal Mosque (Masjid Kristal) located at Wan Man Island (Pulau Wan Man).

Then we catch up a bus to Kelantan. Its Friday so almost all shop are closed.. But still we manage to shop for Keropok Ikan (fish crackers), Asam Manis (Sweet tamarind), some tudung for me, etc, etc..

Went back to Kuala Terengganu later that day..

Still in my tummy but he started talking about playing soccer with my boy! PNB Darby Park at the heart of Kuala Lumpur

As prestigous as it sounds, this is an absolute exclusive place for executives. I was honored for the chance given by my G-boss to have a 5 day stay, dont even have to pay a single cent for anything. From Drop Box Situated 10 minutes walking distance from the well known twin tower KLCC, 2 minutes away from the Putra Station & from Nikko Hotel, and 5 minutes walk to Masjid as-Syakirin KLCC. a suite cost RM1300++ per night. with 3 bedrooms, 2 balcony, living room, 3 toilets, kitchen (wet & dry), tv in all rooms, and tv set + videoplayer (maybe cd + karaoke enabled). as for food, sarapan pagi + makan malam di ground floor's restaurant, The PNB Darby Cafe. In its website it says : "myriad of local and international menu" is very true. Its a small cafe but yet offers so many types of food and drinks. The city view from here, not so lovely. Well, busy road with cars .. what do u expect? but for lunch, u have to follow the dress code. means.. no jeans.. no t-shirt.. and ...
