During my stay at JB, I managed to go to Tg Balau Beach, Desaru.

If youre driving, than it's cheaper compared to renting a car or something. Its more expensive by taxi. I think it took 2 hours drive, plus LOST since I couldnt remember the road.. dont blame it on me?! the road look different from last time, 2005. From JB to Kota Tinggi takes 1 n 1/2 hours considering all the traffic jam on the way out of the city. Then from Kota Tinggi to Desaru approx. 40 minutes. The road might be tricky, so watch for the word Desaru, then Tg Balau on the signboard coz they will definitely help you. Not much to look at during the drive.. expect for hugeeee palm plantations..
Tg Balau is a masterpiece. Facing the South China Sea, clear water, blue sea, and not too many people like in Desaru beach. The one that im showing you in the pic is on the other side of the beach, you can ask for direction to go to the 'jetty' they call it. Or if they dont understand just tell them 'jambatan'..

Those who loves fishing, bring along your fishing rod and stuff here. Its a perfect spot for fishing. Not sure what kind of fish you'll get. But I saw them retrieving their fishing rods few times in an hour..
I am simply a nature lover, same goes to hubby. So, hopefully we'll have enough RM to come here next time. I love the sea but I'm scared to get too close to it. I always watch my step and belonging. Afraid they (and myself) might end up in the water, coz I cant swim!
No food sold here, except for the resorts. There's ice-cream. And rojak. And drinks. Thats' all. So if you think about saving more money for other things while on holiday, you should pack food from nearest town, Kota Tinggi. They have Merrybrown and KFC!
There's camping site, so those who wants to camp pack your bags! Be sure to have enough mosquito's repellant.. hehe
One more thing... There are quite a number of resorts around.
