Brunei n food part 2

Late publish.

Assalam friends. Thanx to any1 who read my  blog. Sorry this time around im typing on
my mobile phone since i wont have enough time if i try to blog using the sponsored lappy..

This time around im babbling about food again! Sorry.. bear with me please..

Now that i live in brunei i can understand why most of them are big sized. Food are abundant. They are extremely cheap and in huge portion. In sarawak, big sized prawn cost around MYR35 per kilogram. But here u get it for BND7 per kilo? Ok its brunei dollar so change it to MYR? U do the math. 7x2.43=??? U still think its expensive?
Just look at my pictures.. i go everywhere hunting for the best place to eat. From stalls (not the gerai u can see in malaysia) to buffet restaurant. Name it. We tried at least 1 per week. That includes all international fast food brand as well!
In malaysia, 2 adults n 1 kiddy meal will cost around myr50. But in brunei, that cost around $20..  convert the money its the same price. But can u imagine if u r being paid in BND?
this place is a total food haven. For muslim like me i need to consider many rules (no pork, no alcohol, no glass used to serve alcohol, no utensils used to cook pork, etc.) In brunei u dont have to worry about that. If its a non-halal restaurant u will notice it before u enter the place. Its written clearly. Therefore my mission now is to try out chinese food without hesitation...

Another thing is delivery services. My perception was that only fast food provides this. But im shocked to learn that even normal restaurant provide the service as well. U dont have to drive your car to eat. Just call n they will come sending u ur order.. but my idea of delivery still applies for fast food only... i will definitely drive to eat at different places..

holiday nov2011 01

We had an 'explorace' holiday last November 2011. Our flight to Kuala Terengganu (KL transit) was on 25 Nov. Arrived at night, an we went straight to YT Midtown Hotel. A strategically located hotel and I consider it as budget hotel. Paying RM120 for a RM150 sized room! Its definitely not a boutique hotel or spa resort. But cozy enough to rest and sleep. No weird smell or sound. The small pic of my son was on the plane. The Floating Mosque (i think its called Masjid Tunku Zaharah or something like that..), located at Tanjung Ibai. Its rainy day so we decided to just sightseeing from the car (rented car with very good deal!) Then we went to see Masjid Putih, as the local called it. Passing by the White Mosque (Masjid Putih), the driver took us to the Fishery Department Port. A visit only a few lucky people like us could get! The driver is like the president of fishermen's union or something.. So we get to see the real boat and ships used to fish! Its not like we never
