Gold & Silver
Its the new craze in town, and I recently joined the community!
I have been monitoring the gold market over a month before i start buying them for investment. These 2 weeks the price seems to move downward a little, but no worries.. It IS the right time to buy!!! It will shoot up again soon enough. Then, we can start sell out our stash!
I am no good at business, and worse at investment. I don't even know where to start! So I have decided to kickstart my investment plan by buying gold. U think i'm rich? No.. i just bought a few grams for the start. 1 gram (current) is RM164.18 (maybank rate). I bought gold when it was RM169.51. can u see the difference there? RM0.67 in just one week. Last Friday it was RM163.++!!! Meaning the price hit the bottom last friday and start to rise again now. I'm waiting for next year when the price rise higher.. hehehe.. Given the fact that gold price rise 25% per year, that will make me 25% richer by next year! ^__^
If you are like me, have not much RM then you should start with Gold Saving Passbook at Maybank selected branch only. They call it Maybank Gold Investment Account (MGIA). Why?? Because they allow you to start your investment buying 1 gram only.
Public Gold, Kijang Emas, Kuwait Finance or whatever it is, do not offer this! The lowest they sell is in 10 grams or 1 ounces (1 oz = 28.3495 gm).
You need to open an account, sign an agreement (gold transaction agreement) and pay RM10 for stamp (agreement). Maybank officer will check the current price for you and you can buy it according to the latest price.
If you have handsome amount of 20K, then you should become Gold Dealer with Public Gold. Now you can sell gold. Cool isn't it? Or you can buy in 10grams minimum, up to any amount you are interested in. For those in Sarawak and Sabah, check this out if you are interested.
I am now thinking about buying silver.. the price has been static low for a few weeks, talking international. Silver is cheaper of course and I'm still calculating.. should i? shouldn't i? should i? shouldn't i?
P/S: to tell u the truth, this isn't my first gold investment encounter.. Ive seen it in during my Questnet years and someone in my family have been collecting gold coins bought through Questnet. It's just that I could not afford the price then, but I can now because of MGIA 1 gram condition..
